I used to live in Miami. Here's what is stand out odd to me. SO many pieces of real estate in Miami have a multitude of problems. The heat is brutal and wears at everything from facades to pipes underground. Sea water comes up in plumbing. A lot of buildings are technically falling apart but no one wants to deal with it because it lowers property value or will outright be condemned. It's a mess and made me feel better about not buying property. All of that to say: There are huge problems there. Enough to fill 24 hr news sites. Does anyone report it? Nope. But that one building... non stop air play. Huh. Okay.
