Since the internet is complete shill trash now, I can’t seem to find any legit reviews that are trustworthy. Don’t need anything fancy, just a front/back two cam setup that won’t melt in the sun, loop record. GPS/speed would be nice. If you have knowledge, share it. Duck taping a selfie stick to my ancient GoPro ain’t workin out so great.

Also, I sincerely hope you have a good day.

Duct tape dude. Duct tape.

There is a brand of duct tape called "Duck Tape", although I doubt he was referring to it.

Funny thing is that "Duck Tape" was the original name and the product was a water-proof sealing tape.

"Duct tape" is the last thing you should ever use when installing duct; the metal tape is used for that,

I was marveling at that concept just the other day, after finding my empty roll of packing tape was "Duck Tape" brand. Was the company founded as a pun/joke kind of thing, or are they actually capitalizing on a common mispronounced word and making huge profits off of it?

Something tells me these guys are playing all the angles. I find it irritating, but apparently I'm already buying their packing tape, so I'm part of the problem.

It's almost certainly just a pun lol don't read too much into it

Use aquarium silicone to hold the dashcam and wires to glass and plastic (non fabric) parts of your car. It will hold for decades and pull off if you hold it with your fingers and tug on it.

I got a rove. Its china but the thing works. It autostarts when you start the car. Has a sensor if it detects someone near your car or hitting it while you are away. Also has a button you can press to save the recording track you are on (saves in 3min increments), also saves all events seperate from standard recording. Pretty decent price. Whatever you buy definately 4k. I know the fucks in charge want to spy on us but i like to protect my shit from trash and blacks so its def. Worth it.

I have a blackvue front and rear dash am for ny truck. Works great and its aptly named for whom it catches.

Blackvue also allows video uploads via wifi. So, if you have your smart phone in your vehicle you can upload a video into the cloud before it can be “ahem” deleted….

I have this Rexing front cam. Have had it for about 6 years, driven cross country with it three or four times through all levels of heat/weather. Works great. Pretty sure they have rear options

I can second the Rexing as a quality unit. My latest has a front and rear camera which is great for context. If you don't have a convertible or wrangler, I'd highly recommend getting one with front and rear combined. My older ones are aukey and they work well too.

Don't get GPS. It can be wrong, and a wrong speed could be a problem in court.

Look up the LackLuster channel on YouTube. He has a lot of recommendations on different dash and body cams

I like my Kenwood I bought at best buy.

Can you get the data from the existing cameras in your car if you are in an accident?

Im in the same boat. Also, has anybody ever used a rear facing inside a truck that has a canopy? Worth fucking with? Im thinking probably not.
