Homosexuality has genetic factors which can be seen in the correlation between same sex relationships and left handedness, as well as testosterone exposure in the womb - aka why homosexuals often have index fingers longer than their ring fingers - but with trans people of either gender (aside from Bruce Jenner), they're rarely regular looking individuals pre-bodymod.

Is it genetic, social, psychological, cultural, a mix?

Serious answers please, there's nowhere else to talk about this shit intelligently.

Diseases of affluence.

Yes, like mercury/lead poisoning in the past. You couldn't afford to eat/drink out of pewter, or have doctors "treat" you with tincture-of-heavy-metal. Certainly obesity is a very new phenomenon for poor people.

Looking at pictures of carnivals showing “Worlds largest Man” from years ago showed men who were obese but could still walk. Today every wal mart at every hour can best that. At some point they simply realized it wasn’t an attraction anymore.

Dairy consumption is the disease of affluence I quote most often, one of the largest studies ever done. Countries that consume the most have highest rates of many bone and joint related diseases like porosity and arthritis, countries that have the lowest consumption have healthier old people.

I'm quite skeptical of dairy being bad for you- particularly processed dairy (cheese, yogurt etc).

It’s multi pronged wrong. The form of calcium is wrong, and ends up being toxic ( many areas of research now showing regression of age related disease by removing excess calcium from the body/brain) and there is toxicity issues from concentration in milk. Just the PCbs in ice cream is startling when looked at, But the overall pesticide load is damaging.

It was a great addition campaign, “ milk, it does a body good”, but it was a total lie. Mostly the useful component of milk is iodine (residue from teat cleaning during milking) and vitamin D (not enough, but they do add some).

Raw milk is its own subject matter which has been shown be far better through expirament and testing being it’s natural state without adulteration. There’s a great video where a farmer raises two calf’s, one on raw milk, one on pasteurized milk. One cow develops fine, good weight and growth. Other is sickly and thin and the expirament had to be ended before the calf died.
