I'm tired of working for a living , I want to become an " expert " . I have a few of the requisites for becoming an expert .

I can state the obvious like it's a revelation When I'm proven wrong I can say that I was right with the information we had at the time. I can also blame my predecessor for my inability to solve any problems I cannot solve.

You guys have any more tips for being an " expert " ?

Real expert - learn practice and observe.

Real "expert" - form opinion, attack any opposing view, blame -isms

Only if you can tolerate wasting away in front of a screen. I swear the people who are most successful in this industry are the most broken.

You just have to avoid real experts and mitigate liability.

Do like Bill Gates - make a billion dollars selling mediocre software. Then pay the media to act like you are a doctor, engineer, virologist and guru.

To become one of those "experts" starts with willingly selling your soul to the devil. Then you'll probably have to perform some heinous acts while being videotaped by your new "masters" so that they have a level of assurance that you won't go off script.

From then on, as long as you do your masters bidding, you will be untouchable. You are now "The Science", as Fauci put it, and above reproach.

The rule of thumb is 10,000 hours. Which is five years at 40 hours a week.

Be prepared to say whatever you are told to say by whomever is paying you. It is important to have no character; or sense of morality or responsibility other than to yourself and a healthy bottom line. If people are harmed by your expertise it will their own fault for not being experts themselves, it can hardly be your fault

I wish you well, in an increasingly complex world we need an ever increasing number of experts to guide the masses in their beliefs

I live to serve , and enrich myself handsomely

Depends... Do you agree with the opinions as seen on CNN? If so, you already qualify as an expert and you might even qualify as an anonymous source too! Doesn't matter on what subject(s) either, which is the best part.

It's called selling your soul to satan.

While not exactly necessary , it sure does help !

Do you have the condescension to assume most people cannot possibly live their lives without your guidance?

[–] 1 pt

That quite possibly is the most important thing ! Thanks for reminding me ;

Becoming an expert seems to require long-term commitment. The people who are experts in the way you describe are fixtures in their chosen circles. They have been around forever, probably learning over time what lines to push in order to get accolades from their colleagues. It is a boneless, weak person's game, but if one can play it well he can make a living and maybe even be on TV.

Being on tv sounds epic.

Indeed. It's the long game but the life of an expert is grand.
