Personal responsibility.
I won't even call it Christianity, because that is such a loaded term. But here is what the New Testament teaches: - there is none righteous (Romans chapter 3) - we were dead in our sins (Ephesians 2) - by one sacrifice of his body on the cross, Jesus paid for the sin of all (Hebrews 10) - you cannot please God apart from faith (Hebrews 11) - you cannot earn your salvation by "doing" something, i.e. "works" (Romans 4) - the old man has been put to death in/with Christ, and now we life by faith in him and he through us (Romans 6, Galatians 2)
That said, I don't know exactly what you're getting at with the whole personal responsibility thing. Sure, you can white-knuckle this or that in this life, but you will always be guilty of whatever sins you have committed against the infinitely holy Almighty. You cannot do anything to improve your situation with God, as a hostile, rebellious enemy of God. Jesus became sin so that we could be reconciled to God and be the righteousness of God in him.
your first paragraph
Wahh, Don't care.
, I don't know exactly what you're getting at with the whole personal responsibility
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? You do not get to argue against a point you don't understand.. You tried to mount a fucking religious argument because i made a statement you didn't understand?
