I've been on a few Caribbean "cruises" and in my experience they pretty much sucked! They made us get up at very unreasonable hours and go up on deck and do a bunch of exercises. Then they made us go back and clean our own rooms. Then we could go eat a meal prepared by cooks who seemed to detest our very existence. Sometimes they would wake me up at night and make me go up on deck and stand around in the dark watching for sea monsters, pirates, or who knows what. Sometimes they would drop us off on some deserted island and make us camp out. While we were there they made us walk around in the jungle at night. Sometimes they would make us shoot guns and stuff like that. Sometimes they would take us to a port where it seems that everyone there had a job that had as its main goal to get all of our money as quickly as possible. Yeah, being a young Marine isn't all shits and giggles as the Marine Recruiter may try to tell you!
