Doxxing is against Poal rules. We must protect our users, even from themselves.

Umm, thanks?

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

No thanks necessary, citizen.

All in a days work.

That's the "Nope" spider.

It got its name from the reaction most have when seeing it, right before using hairspray and a lighter to make sure it's dead.

Hard to tell from the pics but I am going to call it a "Callobius severus", not a threat to your family or animals but its bite would hurt and its better off outside than inside.

There are better house spiders to leave around.

>Callobius severus

Oh hey that's not a bad guess. I think that's reliable. Thank you. Sucks they bite, but I don't have to worry about rushing any of my children to emergency.

All spiders bite if you fuck with them.

I got curious about what this bug is, but couldn't find a convincing one. Maybe someone will be luckier in "COMMON SPIDERS of NORTH AMERICA" on b-ok.cc

calponia harrisonfordi

I hope the fuck it wasnt on your bed!

Worse it was on the curtains in my boy's room. His curtains are long and they rest on his dresser where he was about to set his pillow to make his bed. Glad he saw it.

Sowbug killer? Not sure. The abdomen looks a bit fuzzier than I would expect.

Yeah the hair is what's throwing me. I thought it might be a woodlouse, but they're naked. Not a mouse spider either.

[–] 0 pt

Woodlouse is another name for sowbug. Sowbug/woodlouse killers are the same (Dysdera crocata)

Two choices, a juvenile Giant House Spider ( Eratigena atrica ) or a juvenile Hobo Spider ( Eratigena agrestis ).

The two photos aren't exactly crystal clear but I'm leaning towards Hobo Spider.

A bite from either species is not considered a threat by the CDC to humans or pets, take that with a grain of salt I say.
