Make sure her fever doesn't get over 103. Keep it under 101, ideally, by alternating Tylenol and Motrin. In terms of dosage, Tylenol is worse over time (e.g., taking it for weeks), but not a huge risk in the acute sense. Motrin is more of an acute risk (don't take too many at once) and less of a risk over time.

Have her drink 8oz (half a glass) of water every couple hours, and a few ounces of Pedialyte every couple hours. No matter what she says about not feeling like drinking anymore, make sure you keep her on this regiment.

Have her go outside to get sunlight for at least 15 minutes with good exposure (e.g., with a tank top and shorts) or 45 minutes with minimal exposure (e.g. long sleeve shirt and pants, where it's just hands and face in the sun).

Take vitamin D once per day and vitamin C 3 times.

Make sure she's getting good long sleep at night but not just lounging all day; at least some physical activity helps keep things running.

If you have N-Acetylcysteine (NAC), have her take one per day, for up to a week, until better.

Any kind of serious symptoms (difficulty breathing, persistent dizziness, etc.), take seriously. COVID-19 is fake, but pneumonia is not. Neither is the flu, but she should be fine.

Disclaimer: none of this is medical advice, it's all just entertainment and personal opinion. Do your own research, and always consult with your (((licensed))) medical practitioner.

High dose vitD and NAC has got me feeling good while surrounded by people who have the cold. That's twice it's worked for me now. Highly recommended.

Yup. Im on it. Thanx. Temp holdin at 100.7 now. Im makin her drink water

Sounds like she caught a cold. What to do? Panic? Scream for help? Go to the police? Or ... tell her to drink lots of liquids and stay in bed for a day or two. Even if she has the Covid, it is not a bad virus. It will keep you feeling like shit for about three days, and afterwards you get a persistent dry cough for a couple of weeks. That's how you know it's Covid (because the government test is fucking worthless).

vD, vC, Zinc. Shit loads of water. Bananas for potassium. Be sure sodium levels don't drop due to over hydration. Get her an in home sailene IV if it's available. Fever over 106-107 time for Dr.

Edit. Also, don't take advice from the internet.

Temp seems to be droppin. Maybe I panicked. I thought I lost her yesterday on the river. Im monitoring pretty hard. Shes gettin pissed. Thanks. Im watching the fever and her breathing

Biggest thing is to flush the system. Fever is body killing off whatever she is fighting. Fever is good up to a point. Give her the fuel and rest to fight it. Hydration. Salt/sodium help with that. VD, vb12 and vc work on the immune repose. Give her rest and fuel.

Yes yes yes! Flush the system Most infectious diseases are intestinal. I'd strongly urge a double dose of liquid laxative. Put her problems 'behind her'.

And then, wait until she's actually hungry and do the universal fix: Chicken Noodle Soup.

Fever over 104 is time for ice and an ambulance

All these things may make you feel better, if you are easily suggestible, but they do nothing against the virus.

Shalom. Thank you rabbi for your input.

I don't concede that this is covid, symptoms are not right. Sounds like pneumonia... are u a medical Dr? What's your input? Or are u just a fuckwit with a big mouth?

[–] 1 pt

What a clown. Here you are giving medical advice. Are you a doctor?

[–] 1 pt

You hear "fever" and you think pneumonia? Oh yeah, you're qualified to give out medical advice.

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

Get her some vitamin C . Fever means the body is fighting something.

[–] 1 pt

Shes been all about a shit ton of vitamins for a year now. We had a real bad ordeal on the river yesterday. Im wondering if shes just exhausted. But a fever? Fuck! She works at Pilot travel center. Fever gotta have a note. Fu k that. Shes breathin fine

[–] 4 pts

A fever is nothing to get excited about. It a natural response of the body when it is fighting off a disease.

I was a long haul trucker for 16 years. I love Pilot's coffee.

If your wife had the flu in 2018, what would you do? Do that.

[–] 1 pt

Just drop her off at the ER and be done with her. After showing all of that care and concern she's going to not respect you anymore and jump on the next cock on the carousel.

Goddamn! If it turns out youre right ima become a jew nigger tranny suicide bomber n take out a taco bell. After I find a good home for my dog of course. Or maybe ill marry my dog. Thats prob normal nowadays.

[–] 1 pt

Hey, how did this end up working out? Everything allright I hope?

[–] 1 pt

Ah shes allright. I panicked like a little girl seeing a snake. Im just glad shes allright. Been a strange week. Had a lady pull up to me yesterday morn asking for help. I called 911 and waited for rescue. She was having a severe anxiety attack. Same day my eye doctor called crying asking if I could wait till today for my appt. Her best friend died. I swear I feel like something bads coming. Just keep keepin on..

[–] 1 pt

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. It's no mark against your character to panic because you love your woman; only remember not to let them know that you're panicking in the moment.

[–] 1 pt

Right. I know I wasnt as prepared as I thought I was. But I handeled it pretty well in hindsight. I have learned from this. I think only the people on Poal sensed my despair! Lol. We're going again this weekend. Life happens fast is easy to say. Its really hard on the mind to lead and fail. Ive explained the risks. Shes willing. We only live once.

[–] 1 pt

Shes better. Fever for 18 hrs and gone. I guess I panicked after watching her allmost drown the day before. Gratefull for the advice from Poal.

[–] 1 pt

Pretty sure I got the same thing. It's been kicking my ass for a week.

[–] 0 pt

Sumthings going around here too. Shes better now. I went to work with a mild fever but worked thru it. I guess I panicked. Was a trying weekend.

[–] 1 pt

Theraflu or old school Nyquill, and my personal favorite-herb tea,Oreo cookies.

[–] 1 pt

She is scared. Give her facts about how slight her odds are of dieing, even if she got the kung flu.

Ice bath to break a bad fever. TheraFlu does wonders at breaking fevers and suppressing symptoms.

But don't take my word for it, look it up.

If she has other conditions you may want to buy a bunch of ice to cool her if her fever reaches dangerous levels (103 or higher). Otherwise chicken soup, a toddy, a blanket, and be there for her. If she loses her sense of smell for some time and has flulike symptoms she has either the flu or the rona. Either way the treatment is the same, but you may want to give her Tylenol to reduce the fever and aspirin to reduce the risk of blood clots (normal dose of aspirin, but maintain the dosage until she's well)
