That's because they're almost all owned by the same corporations. No different than TV and newspapers.

Not at all. They have 3 different Rolling Stone Songs, 3 different AC/DC songs and 3 different Beatles songs with an occasional Rod Stewart etc to mix it up.

Don't forget that Fleetwood Mac song every 20 minutes

Listen to the "oldies" station. That just means like 20 year old music, which will be good.

We have a 70s, 80s, 90s, station that plays 20+ year old stuff. I am hearing new all the time, i leave that shit on as background during rush hour so i dont murder people. I gave up on following new music and TV about 2001.

I heard nirvana at my dentist office.

I used to really love nirvana but recently I realized Kurt Cobain was an extreme leftist that would have fit in really well with today’s woke bullshit. Ahead of his time in all the wrong ways.

Real sad about that because I can’t enjoy their music the same way anymore after realizing that.

He's dead, so enjoy away.

I hope you weren't in the chair when it came on; it would be damn hard for the dentist to do their work with your head moving.

Video killed the radio star, didn't you hear?

The buggles taught me that a long time ago.

Three rock stations, one town. All three playing same band at same time. Two of them playing the same song, seconds apart. It’s always A side shit. A band has twenty albums and they play two of their songs.

You know how it works yeh? Most of the time the local radio stations are owned by a larger regional station. The regional station pays for the rights to certain songs (yes, it costs money to buy the rights to air each and every song), then passes them along to the local radio stations. This is why they all play the same trash. They are being given the same songs by the higher ups.

Actually you can play what you want on radio. Royalty free. They pay for tried and true formats that generate the most revenue.

Maybe it's different where you live... that's very interesting to hear though. I know for a fact you have to purchase the royalties here in Aussieland. I have worked for 2 of the radio stations in my area.

I have a theory that even the "live" callers who request songs are all fake. It's an oldies station we listen to at work and it's always the same fucking songs. There were so many great songs from the 70s but they play the same 20 songs.

radio's purpose is to dumb down the people. who the fuck turns on the radio to listen to people talk? it's for music. yet they insist on having retards on every channel talk the most absolute nonsense imaginable. they know a lot of the working class just leave the radio on all day. so it's a great way for them to keep pumping the normies with propaganda and keep them stupid.

I once had a free trial to satellite radio and it's the same way. The worst part of radio stations is when the "DJ" gets on after a song to spew their scripted normie propaganda (REEEEEEEEEE muh net flix, muh jewywood news, muh niggerball news and of course now propagating the coof narrative and pushing the jab). Paid commercial and human free streaming is the way to go for sure.

Radio ga ga radio goo goo

Stopped listening to radio several years ago. NPR was last to go because I liked their news reporting but finally could not hear anything but overt liberal skew. I stream or play mp3s if what I care to hear now.

I prefer to drive with the radio off. I find I can focus on traffic more clearly. At home, I'm on the Internet -- I don't need radio or television.
