Cause they get ridiculously good pay for easy fucking work, and get to act like our bosses, parents, or ... gods. They do virtually nothing all day, every day, and every once in a while have to do something a little bit difficult. Traffic accidents are usually their worst day on the job.
We are very close to blacks being allowed to just outright murder cops in broad daylight as "justice." It's very close. I expect one any day now.
Most areas i know the beat cops are not making very good pay considering that they have to put their life on the line every day. Unless you think 30-40k is good money.
Cops are not putting their lives on the line every day. They are out highway sharking tax payers for traffic infractions. They have nowhere near the fatality rate of hundreds of other professions making far, far less.
Austin Texas has the average cop making over $100k/yr with overtime, are allowed to moon light if they choose, and have great union provided benefits. With the exception of a few beat cops in the shitty part of town, cops do very little in the way of danger.
Well pay is nice in those cases but parked on a highway pulling people over is not a low risk job.... You never know wos in the vehicle and what they are going to do. And have ypu seen people drive? Highway interstate whatever 80 mph+ and swaying all over the place?
