I like them. Used to grow them years and years ago. That said, I found most Cubie strains to be a bit psychedelically and visually bland compared to the Pans and Copes. Maybe I just had a strong tolerance to psilocin and psilocybin. Now 4-AcO-DMT? That's what all shrooms wish they were; it's molecularly similar and it's believed that it metabolizes into the former chemicals, sans any and all possible body load.
The latter is very introspective and colorful, about on par with a handful of good Pans. Good luck ever getting your hands on that shit, though. I loved psyches and they were my jam for a long time. Feel a bit too old and weary for psychedelics these days but I believe they can be eye-opening, introspective, or just plain fun experiences when used responsibly by people who aren't total fucking idiots. They can also be hell if they feel like biting you, although I never once had a bad shroom trip out of many dozens (unlike LSD and various Rcs which had differing rates of bad/uncomfortable trips).
If I was to do psyches again, I'll probably just stick with n,n-DMT... which is another can of worms.
What is body load? And I've always wanted to try DMT. Whichever form of it.
"Body load" refers to real or imagined chest or torso discomfort that can sometimes come as a side effect with psychedelics.
With psychedelic tryptamines such as LSD and mushrooms, it usually manifests as mild cramps, nausea, a tightness in the chest or other odd sensations. You should try to ignore them; they're mostly psychosomatic or a harmless digestive response.
Conversely, I've found that with psychedelic phenethelyamines such as mescaline, MDA/MDMA, DOx series, 2C-x series, etc., the feeling is generally far more pronounced and shouldn't be ignored in the same way as the former class; the discomfort can stem from a real issue such as high blood pressure or hypertension. I threw away entire stashes of psychedelics without ever trying them because of the fact I was unsure if it would be hellish or if I'd even survive. 2C-P and 2C-T-7 come to mind; had some, was scared of them, never took, tossed.
As a rule of thumb, treat all psychedelics with respect and have some benzo "abort buttons" handy if you feel like you need them, especially with the phens.
As for DMT: When people think "DMT", they are thinking of the potent, utterly world-shattering, short-acting n,n-DMT. The 4-AcO-DMT I mentioned is more of a psilocin/psilocybin susbstituted analogue and has a trip quality and duration very similar to mushrooms, subjectively more "pure" feeling on the body and vivid in the mind.
If the n,nDMT is more vivid how can the other one be the earth shattering one? I've also heard that nDMT has a more "isolated" feeling trip. Like you feel like it is just you and your crazy brain going wild, and the other feels like you're more in touch with everything and experiencing things other than yourself. Also I had some 2CB, 2CE, TC..., etc., as a kid. I was swallowing it, until my friend told me to snort it. That was, to this day, the most painful thing I have ever snorted by far. My friend said "it feels like the devil took a shit on ur face" and he was right. It burned like complete hell until the pain faced into numbness and then you were gone. I have since learned that shit is terrible to ingest nasally and can cause damage. I had some wild nights as a 16y/o tho . Lol
