Because when they lost their power due to the rise of social media, youtube, facebook, reddit, skype etc. they branded Freedom of Speech as the vehicle of Conspiracy Theory, Totalitarianism "to put it into simpleton terms, Fascism", Hate Advocacy, Fake News and all of that crap and too them over. Because when people stopped watching movies due to the woke movement, and when Hollywood died, they literally shut down every cinema and anal probed their propaganda in Netflix. When we stopped paying for their shit, they literally printed out money and handed it over to Netflix. Same thing with the music industry. Because the Media, is a weapon far more destructive and powerful than any bomb.
