The FCC used to require television and radio news to present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was honest, equitable, and balanced. News was run at a loss. It was a public service they had to provide in order to have the right to broadcast. The airwaves were considered owned by the public, and providing the news was the payment for using them. Once they no longer needed the airwaves (Cable), they could pump out for-profit news that was just sensationalized bullshit.

He fucked us on gun control several times, starting as Governor of California. He signed the Mulford Act in 1967, that outlawed carrying loaded weapons in public. As President, he signed the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986, which outlawed automatic weapons. Then, he lobbied for the 1994 assault weapons ban. Many credit his support for overcoming the NRA's opposition to the bill.

He fucked us on immigration with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, which granted amnesty to millions of illegals in the United States and put a giant "welcome" sign on America's sourthern border. We're still feeling the consequences today.

Because when they lost their power due to the rise of social media, youtube, facebook, reddit, skype etc. they branded Freedom of Speech as the vehicle of Conspiracy Theory, Totalitarianism "to put it into simpleton terms, Fascism", Hate Advocacy, Fake News and all of that crap and too them over.

Because when people stopped watching movies due to the woke movement, and when Hollywood died, they literally shut down every cinema and anal probed their propaganda in Netflix. Stop giving the MSM your attention. Your attention is their currency. YOU have to turn all the MSM off and discuss your alternative views with your friends. If they start talking about the MSM viewpoints and you acknowledge their existence, your friend will still view the MSM as a valid source of information whether you agree or disagree with them. Your attention to the MSM is enough of validation for them to stick with it.
