That's a really good answer. We're so focused on pharma and banking and whatnot I sometimes forget about how fucked big ag is too.
Besides sex, food is our most important and basic need. We live in a society where we don't even think about being hungry, but I grew up hungry. Like real hunger hungry. If Monsanto decided to stop making crop seed, 80% of our food supply would be destroyed in a single year.
Even non Monsanto crops have a higher sterility rate because bees cross pollinate between Monsanto fields and heirloom fields and reduce viability in the next seed generation.
If you want to worry about something, worry about food.
I do worry about food. And water. I'm trying to grow as much as I can myself and maintain connections in my community with people who do the same.
And I know that no matter how many personal heirloom seed vaults people maintain or how much organic gardening and small scale ranching is going on, when the big system comes down and hundreds of millions are starving, it's going to be a bloodbath, even in rural areas.
I need to freeze some seed.
I think food is probably more important than sex.
Lock yourself in a room for 40 days without food. When you come out are you going to be thinking, "I've gotta fuck!" or "I've gotta eat!"?
Lol you're right but I meant as an evolutionary imperative. Procreation is our primary goal. Everything else is to ensure it is successful
Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs
Food, sex, sleep, going to bathroom are all basic. The first level.
Most people would come out of room wanting food, then a good percentage would want sex.
Edit: adding: I think today internet for many would be in basic level. Food, internet, sex, bathroom, sleep
So after 40 days it would be food/check internet/game most likely 😂
