Thanks u2. Maybe only a couple of melon plants this year. We were overrun last year. Cantaloupes were a flop. The pumpkins were good. I have bees on the farm so everything gets pollinated. Also. A good irrigation system. We are a certified organic farm. Potatoes, ginger and turmeric go in the ground tomorrow.

What do you do with the turmeric?

We use it as a spice in cooking. It has great anti inflammatory properties (curcuminoids). It’s hard to source fresh, so we grown our own. It can be dried and made into a powder. I like growing stuff that lasts for years, no waste. It grows like ginger.
