Yes good money in all of these. If you have a CDL then you can walk-in almost anywhere in the entire country. The more experience the better. Some companies pay you to get one even.
Yep. I also recommend getting your tanker and hazmat endorsement. Then you can make $100,000+/yr while driving around with the best corner office view you could ask for.
I wouldn't get the hazmat endorsement unless you have a job lined up
It's stupid expensive and has to be renewed every year
Every 5 years unless your state is more strict and it's about $100 but yeah, I agree. Wait until you have something lined up and, usually, as long as you already have tanker experience the company will still hire you and reimburse you the cost.
Sitting on your ass all day is unhealthy. Most truckers deteriorate quickly after 40.
Yeah because most truckers have a bullshit diet of fast food, iron stomach, and country slide. If they would actually put a fridge and a hot plate in their truck they could eat healthy.
Also, get out of the truck every now and then. As a matter of fact, I'm going to get a bicycle soon to strap on my cat walk so I can use it to go other places while I'm parked instead of uber.
