They're right there. They could do it in a half a second, way too fast for anyone to stop them. If they were worried about personal consequences for themselves, they could put a few rounds in the politician and then one through their own skull. Bang, bang, bang. And we get a world that has hope again. The same could happen across the intelligence agencies. Their boss tells them to target White Nationalists and they act like that's a wonderful idea, smile, go to shake their hand, then rapidly slam their head into the corner of desk, fracturing their skull and spreading their brains out on the carpet of their office. They pull the gun out of their desk and a pile of papers and walk around the office like they're delivering memos. Or they could just all be poisoned. They could go upstairs to check why the central air is making so much noise and dump out a zip lock of some weaponized pathogen into the fans. They could sit on the roof while a treasonous organization is ripped out by the roots. They could jump off the building if they wanted, or just watch the stars and laugh as people struggle to remove bodies in hazmat suits the next day. They could just saturate their clothes in a pathogen and walk right through security, shaking death out of their suit every few cubicles.
