The dude I was replying to seemed like a decent fella, if not a bit verbose until I slightly disagreed with his interpretation of the bible. Then he went insane. People cling very tightly to their beliefs. I get it but damn, no need to go ballistic because I think a bit differently. We all die in the end and nobody's keeping score.
Some people wrap their entire definition of God around the Bible. I believe the Bible was definitely inspired by God, but fallible men wrote it. The basis of the Bible is God is pure love and Jesus died for our sins. There is TONS of love and wisdom written in that book. I went to a pastor Christian counselor for years whose entire practice was based around helping people who became "bound" by fundamentalism and their relationship suffered horribly with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. He freed so many people to pursue their relationship with Christ to higher and deeper levels. He freed me and is helping my husband. God meets us where we are. He is so much smarter than we are. He knows so much more than we will ever know. The Bible is my guide, but God is my god.
I have no guide. I am a nihilist, born out of the jewish propaganda of existentialism and meaninglessness.
I will die, by recycled and come in to another existence, like all of us will. We are all individually god consciousness. This is why Christ said whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me. It's just you in a hall of mirrors.
I find peace in the book of the subgenious.
