(I'm going to use the words liberal and conservative as ideals ... and NOT use Republican or Democrat because neither the R's or the D's represent the ideals of liberalism or conservationism.)
Big heart. Willing to go to great lengths to right injustices.
You are a good human. This has nothing to do with 'liberal' or 'conservative' or 'green' or 'libertarian' or whatnot.
I've always had a liberal streak.
And, where you correlate liberal = caring ... this is where I must politely push back.
In truth, most good humans with empathy want to help their fellow man.
- Conservative ideals say: let me help you.
- Libertarian ideals say: I'm helpless to help you, so need some authority figure to help you.
Both camps want the same thing. Just see different ways to get there.
Obviously the media and the 2 useless political camps in Washington will tell you that the 'other side' is evil and doesn't care about people and is only driven by greed. That's all nonsense and is a lie designed to dehumanize those we don't agree with.
I personally know conservatives who give 30+% of their income every year to local charities, food banks, etc. They believe in helping their fellow human and they put their money to use for these actions. On average, conservatives give a far higher % of their income to help people because they are directly responsible for helping others.
Here is one of my main beefs with liberalism: it takes power from you and makes you helpless. What you are feeling right now is the natural outcome of your belief system that to you have no power to help anyone else. That you are weak, that you are useless.
I'll push you to break this cycle by going down and helping at the local homeless shelter. Do something. You might only be a raindrop, but without raindrops there is no storm.
