While he is retired early in his cooperative and providing no work he is stealing from the labor of all the people working at the cooperative. He literally reallocates that excess labor to himself so he doesn't need to do anything. While they are getting paid 35 dollars an hour the collective is charging 38 and pocketing the extra 3 dollars to support the collectives oligarch class. Communism is just a shell game the only difference between it and capitalism is the workers have even less rights and own nothing. The party members are the oligarchs.
