Maybe something that only applies to the select few i personally know, but they always come off as passive agressive. I work at a food bank, and this mormon is either always trying to convert me, or tries to supercede his boss in command chain. Its like do your fucking job, do it well, and you will move up in the world based off that. Stop trying to fucking force shit to work in your favor, because people will tell you to get fucked after a while. No one wants to say one thing, only to have another person say the exact opposite, confusing the shit out of workers.

Mormonism is a religion of good works. You do the right things per the church and you get heaven. But how do you know if you've done enough to make up for the bad stuff? I think that uncertainty effects their personalities. Plus they do stick together, them against the world.

Mormons are not Christian. They don't believe there is fire in hell. They don't believe Jesus is God. They believe Lucifer is Jesus's brother. It was started in Vermont in the early 1800s by Joseph Smith. They are just another one of the thousands of protestants sects thanks to the protestant doctrine of sola scriptura.

explain to me how you get from sola scriptura to adding your own material? frankly their dinky little magazine has more in common with the extra-biblical parts of catholism.

also, pretty sure theres a pretty explict warning in the bible against adding or subtracting material from it.

It's a big lie. The Catholic Church compiled the Bible. It was Luther who removed books from the Bible to fit his new religion. Not only that but Luther changed many parts of the Bible including Christ's name.
