I'm not saying that it doesn't harm consenting adults, only that consenting adults should be allowed to harm themselves if they choose to.
I see where you’re coming from, but people who harm themselves usually end up harming those around them as well. No man lives in a vacuum.

Well, we don’t need to worry about what “might” happen anymore. It’s happened.
Adults can choose to harm themselves. In this context, I would advocate for removing such harmful things from the pool of "sub of the day," but then we risk getting into the merits and content of the sub itself.
I can see the "Mods are limiting our freeze peach" posts now, if it was decided that potentially harmful subs (that don't violate the TOS) were limited.
