If you're a decent person, you would also acknowledge the mistake. If you post bullshit, and someone calls it bullshit and insults you. You wear the insult because you posted the bullshit, and you acknowledge that you were wrong. If the other person is reasonable, they will respect you for the acknowledgement of your mistake. If on the other hand, you double down and try to deny what is plain as day, you reveal yourself as a turd with no integrity.
