Yep, and it is all an illusion backed by people with guns. Think the bank "owns" your loaned land? Nope, they just have a piece of paper that you must give fiat paper or digital numbers for to "own" that paper. You also trade your energy and time (labor) for this in reality worthless fiat paper that has numbers on it.
