I've never met right-wingers who were as openly racist as the ones I found on Voat and now Poal.

And I grew up in a very conservative household, went to a conservative church believed the Bible was inerrant and all that. I grew up in a conservative Christian community, and know many many people who are conservative Christians who are against racism. They are against racism because they believe it is against the Bible's teachings.

Then I go exploring online after seeing censorship on Reddit, and find outright racists who believe that black people are inferior and that the Jews are the reason for all the problems in the world.

I am trying to understand this group of people. Many of them seem non-Christian or atheist, but some self-identify as Christian.

I have a few questions:

  • Do you call yourself a Christian?
  • How many of you go to churches that believe/are fine with outright racism?
  • Do you simply hide your beliefs really well, mostly live in the South/areas where it is accepted, etc.?
  • Did you grow up with these beliefs, or did your ideas change later in life?

Thanks.

We just have the freedom to say what we think here. And we go by an abundance of information. Information that has been censored not because they aren't true but because the information is scary to the social and political climate of today.

I am not a Christian but I believe it is the most modern religion with the most benefits in a homogeneous society built for Europeans who invented freedom and fought for freedom and this is reflected in the teachings of Jesus. I do not believe in a flying spaghetti monster but I do believe organization through religion can be beneficial.

Outright racism in public isn't constructive but knowledge is. Knowing your environment is important.

I never grew up with these beliefs because when I was a kid my school and neighbourhood was mostly white. After seeing the terrible outcomes of multiculturalism and the decline of my neighbourhoods and schools and the political manipulation to convince me that it should be normal and part and parcel have convinced me of its ineffectiveness.

Society is now obsessed with political correctness, racism and tolerance instead of truth, knowledge and accurate information. The European West was the envy of the world and now it is the third world.
