Hi voat poal.

My gf and I decided to take a ride to DC on 1/6 to see what we can see and join in on the fun in case we get to hang some politicians.

Anyone going? We have a hotel on the other side of the river and plan to take a subway to the mall, so if shit goes down we can just split and not have to worry about recovering the car.

What do you guys think about in terms of personal protection? She has mace. I'm considering CCW. It isn't legal but I don't plan on waving it around. If I need to take it out then I have bigger problems than some bullshit charge. Is knife better? Can't get a collapsible baton in my state but maybe on the way to DC I could pick one up. Unfortunately I don't have an unregistered piece to use as a burner if I needed to gun and run. My concern is getting surrounded in transit to and from the event.

I've thought about it, and I still may go. I have a problem with DC and no concealed carry, as well as being in unfamiliar territory. Shit can go south in a minute, if you go consider going leave the wife and kids at home. Good Luck!

Mace is a good idea, perhaps an EDC knife for close combat if need be, look up the restrictions in DC to see the maximum blade length allowed for EDC.

I have a dentist appointment at 7AM for a cleaning. After that I and some neighbors will be keeping watch locally for any trouble.
