Not much else to add here.

Is suicide permissible if only certain types of people do it? Does it not matter who does it, it's always fine morally? Is it always immoral no matter the situation?

Edit: I'm not suicidal at all, just wondering how you all view the subject from a moral standpoint.

It's your own life, if you want to end it, and you have genuinely come to that decision on your own, then who am I to say you cannot.

When you think about it, suicide is the supremely selfish act. You do it for yourself, with little or no thought to the pain and damage you leave behind, should you succeed.

If you truly believe death is better than living your life another day, well, I am not in your shoes, so who am I to judge if you are right or wrong.
