For the year I've been on Poal, I have noticed that most posts that get comments have just one sentence comments and sometimes they're not even complete sentences. This makes the engagement seem very low energy. Why isn't there more in depth commentary and discussion?

Short answer: Nobody is going to see it, and even less of a chance of a response. 1 liner is the right amount of screaming into the (reddit clone) dark.
