I used to live in a very spic neighborhood. I didn't think anything of them at first but holy fuck are they scumbags.

Boys beaten by their parents so they grow up to be criminals. Girls molested by their family so they are oversexed and pregnant before they are eighteen

Getting your ass whooped by your parents actually instills discipline. Having a strong male role model is important, one that will put you in your place if you push things too far. Boundaries are important. It's the ones who don't have fathers in their lives that end up going down the wrong path. Always. Alcohol plays a big part in destroying families of all stripes. Shit diet that makes you stupid doesn't help, for sure.
