Sane was intelligent, but autistic as fuck. What he did to the chat was shit. I tried to stay away from site politics thinking the immune system would take care of the shills but it looks like they figured out how to infest with this latest batch of Q-NPCs.
we used to chat, myg/sane/me/wombraider & others, when it was active, but then shills rapidposted and made it unusable... sane responded by attempting the same tactic to point out the weakness, and somehow the "tribal legend" is that Sane Killed Chat. Not true, I was there.
Who killed it?
I didn't use chat much those days because of other obligations... But the one or two times I did pop my head in I just saw sane blasting away... Again, why I don't follow site politics ... I don't have the time to commit to knowing the truth.
I still pop by a few times a week just to lurk/look in and what I see with these latest influxes of Redditors is scary. Voat seems to have changed dramatically in the last few months. I tried my best to stay out of the politics there, too ... but I used to just ignore the serious BS, now it seems unavoidable there, it's a constant drumbeat. I post on Phuks and Poal now ... both slower, but saner.
I hear you. After so many social sites rising and crashing I'm getting to my saturation point. I have been spending more and more time away, and more and more time focusing on other things in life.
