One I hear all the time is that everybody in the south is slow and lazy from people that have lived in the north their whole life. I just ask them to imagine getting the amount of work done they get done in a summer but with 100 degrees and 100 percent humidity v.s. 70 degrees and 30 percent humidity perfect weather. They get it after that. I slow down quite a bit at the 90 degree mark.

Lots of water, so you can sweat out water that acts like a blanket instead of evaporating and cooling due to effectively being under water there is so much humidity.
