Cabin is far less mobile, hot tent can go anywhere but far less insulated. Shit hits the fan scenario which would you choose? I am also disqualifying the RV option.

Y no RV?

RV is less mobile than a tent and less secure than a cabin in theory.

But more comfortable, and is quick and easy, assuming you can afford one.

I've spent plenty of time in tents. Gemerally, they aren't the best places when it rains.

I would think with a hot tent wood stove setup it wouldn't be too bad.

Tent. It's far easier to move a tent than a cabin. Cabins require defensive measures until the die-off thins the herd. When SHTF, I'd prefer to be mobile.

Which do you already have? Of course a cabin would be better long term.

I'm seeing any hot tents at least at a glance. I'll have to check it more tomorrow.

I use to Jackeroo on my mums property when I first left boarding school. It was a 2000 sq klm in central qld. My swag consisted of a sleeping bag and a pillow all wrapped in a canvass sheet. The canvas kept the rain and sun off. Can be wrapped up and strapped to your horse, for a quick and easy getaway.

I've owned an RV for years the furnaces in the first thing to create a problem. Lack of insulation means it works over time.

Just fixed the heat. A/C went out last month. And now the roofs leaking. Bringin it home this week to "Bulletproof" it. Its the time of year when the river tends to take things anyway.

Always a project when you own a home from what I have learned.

If you have land then cabin since they are bullet proof and you can set up some farming and water collection / solar

I would think you would have to design the cabin to be bullet proof.

If you make it out of logs?

[–] 0 pt

I wouldn’t think logs would be thick enough to be bullet proof.

I'll enjoy the warm central heating of a Biden presidency

[–] 2 pts

Well I'm not sure how that would provide central heating considering the economic problems potentially coming regardless of who gets elected.
