I couldn't help myself. I said, "No it isn't. It's darkest in the middle of the night, equidistant between sunset and sunrise." That got quite a few laughs.

Yeah, I should have added more detail. When farming you take averages and apply them to your eggs. You need to have an expected figure of how many birds will come out in order to prepare for them. Say, on average 70% of our eggs hatch. thus, we prepare for 70% of our eggs and prepare brood boxes, food and other gear at that percentage. If we do not count our eggs and expect X % of chicks to hatch, then we do not know what to prepare for.
