Prosciutto is better tasting, but thin bacon is best with a bacon press.

What is a bacon press and why have I never heard of this?

Basically anything heavy and cast iron to put on bacon to keep flat and cook both sides.

thin, makes you think it lasts longer (more strips)

You always have to get all fancy about food.

Chewy thick cut peppered bacon is my ideal bacon

peppered? Why would you pepper bacon?

I thought the same thing until I tried it. The pepper compliments the salty bacon and forms a super flavor of deliciousness.

It depends on what you're using the bacon for.

Bacon bits for a salad or what not, thin.

Bacon wrapped chicken, thick.

Bacon just for the sake of bacon. Thin and crispy.

BLT somewhere in the middle.

Who cares? Its bacon.

Any bacon but it definitely should be crisp! Thick cut is difficult to get crispy but it can be done!

Each have different uses. Thick cut it best on its own or next to eggs. Regular is best on a sandwich, be it breakfast of a delicious blt.
