Single stack sucks. I wont argue. The redball mags fix it....kinda. But, it is what it is. I've never had an issue with my safety, I've had more of a learning curve with the charging handle being on the wrong side. But again: I've trained a TON with my gun, so it's second nature to me. I'm not gonna sit here and try to sell a hi point because frankly the guns do have a lot of quirks that folks won't like. The trigger, to me, is the shittiest I have ever used. But as I said, I did a lot of work on mine so now it feels...mediocre but very usable :D I love my bubba gun, and would choose it over an AR or other superior weapons simply because I'm so comfortable with mine that I'd be a much more effective fighter using it.
Fair enough. I always wanted an used hipoint pistol just to bubba to hell and back. Something under that $100 price point.
Garage trigger job, slide lightening, slide mounted rail on the side, spray paint it something obnoxious, just the usual stuff.
I'll forewarn you: The pistols SUCK. I owned one for several years. I wanted to like it. I wanted to very very bad. But it's like fucking a fat chick with an attitude problem: no matter how much you close your eyes and try to focus on the good stuff and how good it might feel at the moment, it's still a fugly fat chick with a shit attitude. The only thing I will say about them is they're durable as fuck. But...yeah...not much else good there.
Oh yeah, I wasn't expecting it to turn it into something great. Just something to play with and if I ruin it, I wouldn't feel bad, and could fix it cheap if needed.
Held a pistol once in my hand it was a terrible feeling, nothing a dremel, 6 pack, and a night off couldn't "fix" though.
