Mine is easily the CZ Shadow 2, put about 300 dollars in parts in it aftermarket, has an amazing 2lb DA trigger, 5lb SA trigger with a short reset. Will shoot clover leafs all day at 25 yards if I'm up to the task.

Nice never shot one of them. Need to get my hands on one and give it a run.

Saw a M1 last weekend really wanted the gat, looked like a hella fun shooter, someone swooped in front of me before I decided to make the plunge.

People will laugh: My 995 TS. I've done work on the trigger, bubba'd it up with a spray paint job, and a few other "modifications", but I will tell you without flinching that if I had to go into combat tomorrow, my 995 with the cross section of 9mm ammo types I can use with it, I'd feel well armed and comfortable fighting in an urban and heavy forest area, which is both of my areas primary environments.

That is pretty funny actually.

I shot one a good while back and was having issues with the safety. Was kinda disappointed. Maybe I need to give it another shot.

One bad thing I can definitely say about it though, single stack magazine...

[–] 2 pts

Single stack sucks. I wont argue. The redball mags fix it....kinda. But, it is what it is. I've never had an issue with my safety, I've had more of a learning curve with the charging handle being on the wrong side. But again: I've trained a TON with my gun, so it's second nature to me. I'm not gonna sit here and try to sell a hi point because frankly the guns do have a lot of quirks that folks won't like. The trigger, to me, is the shittiest I have ever used. But as I said, I did a lot of work on mine so now it feels...mediocre but very usable :D I love my bubba gun, and would choose it over an AR or other superior weapons simply because I'm so comfortable with mine that I'd be a much more effective fighter using it.

Fair enough. I always wanted an used hipoint pistol just to bubba to hell and back. Something under that $100 price point.

Garage trigger job, slide lightening, slide mounted rail on the side, spray paint it something obnoxious, just the usual stuff.

Ive got a ruger 10/22, and an LCP 2, and I'm very happy with them both. No issues at all. If i had the money to just buy whatever i wanted i would get a chiappa gold rhino. http://cdn2.armslist.com/sites/armslist/uploads/posts/2013/05/26/1673181_01_chiappa_gold_rhino_60ds_357mag_640.jpg

My Ruger 10/22 is easily the most fun firearm I own.

[–] 1 pt

Definitely fun to plink with all day. And most everyone seems to underestimate the lethality, but i would feel alright with my 10/22 if i had to try and stop a hungry mob

[–] 0 pt

Ha! No doubt. Mine came with only one of those little 10rd rotary magazines. But I got 3 of those 25rd Ruger magazines. So yeah, I could probably deter an angry mob for a while as well.

all the way. Thing makes good AKs look unreliable and is good in arctic to desert conditions. When it got handed down to me it would shoot 5 rounds and stove pipe on the sixth, took it apart and it was all powder build up with a channel to feed the round.... And it still fired. Thing was never cleaned for 30 plus years and still worked. Gave it a deep clean and have been shooting it for 15 years with no issue and no cleaning minus the bore.

How the hell do you guys have "favorite guns"?! I have two gun safes on the property for some of the more impractical stuff, but here is a (mostly for opsec reasons) complete list of the functional tools I employ on a consistent basis, even if just to clean and lubricate to maintain their readiness.

Concealed Carry: CZ 2075 RAMI, 9mm Luger (14-round extended, Cajun Gunworks Pro Package)
Open Carry: Nighthawk T4, .45 ACP
Work-bag gun: Springfield XDe, .45 ACP (NuShock trigger)
Car-bag gun: Springfield XDs, .45 ACP (Powder River trigger)
Range gun: CZ 97B, .45 ACP (Cajun Gunworks Pro Package)
Hunting "Anti-Bear" sidearm: Chiappa Rhino 60DS (Vortex RAZOR red dot)
"Bug-Out-Bag": SIG 229 & 226 Legion, 9mm Luger (threaded barrels, 20-round magazines)
Wife's purse: 10" barrel custom machined lower AR-15, .223 Wylde (Cry-Havok barrel QD, Vortex Prism 3x, ASR-ready)
"His" side nightstand: FN Five-seveN, 5.7x28mm (X300, 30-round magazine)
"Her" side nightstand: Mossberg 590 Shockwave, 12ga (1300 FPS #4 Federal)
Truck gun: Benelli M4 LEO Tactical, 12ga (1600 FPS #00 breacher Federal LEO, EOTech EXPS3)
Medium game: Tikka T3x CTR, 6.5 Creedmoor (Vortex Viper PST FFP, XLR Element Carbon chassis, ASR-ready)
Large game: Custom AR-10 Lower, 6.5 Creedmoor (Vortex Razor HD AMG, heavy barrel, ASR-ready)
Zombie Killer: KIVAARI Takedown Backpacker, .338 Lapua Magnum (Vortex RAZOR HD GEN II, Q Trash Panda)
"I can only find ammo for the FN Five-seveN" emergency backup: FN P90 MIL/LEO, 5.7x28mm (short barrel suppressed)

These objects are all purpose-driven tools.

You don't prefer one gun over another one?

One that you don't shoot more than the others?

One you would sell last if you had to sell them for whatever reason?

One that you don't enjoy working/cleaning the most?

All of the firearms above are specific purposed tools. They were selected for that purpose and would be my "favorite" weapon for the intended purpose. I probably have a favorite gun per caliber, but don't think it's realistic to have a "favorite" gun all-around.

The CZ 97b is my favorite firearm to shoot, followed closely by the Nighthawk T4. The only reason the CZ has the upper hand on the Nighthawk is the Cajun Gunworks pro package.

If it was the end of the world and my last 24 hours needed protection to see the very end go dark and I could only grab one weapon from the safe, it would be the CZ 97b.

I'll probably get the.. ire of many other people for saying this, but I let guns get pretty dirty. I was trained with the mentality that cleaning is part of discipline, but that realistic scenarios entail a weapon needing to perform reliably in sub-optimal conditions, so I would prefer to know how all of my equipment operations in dirty conditions. With that said, I religiously clean the CZ 97b, because I put 1,000 rounds through it a month, bare minimum.

Frustratingly, the CZ has developed a small rust spot on the inside of the magwell, but after 3 years, 5 barrels, and more rounds of .45 ACP than I care to recount I'd say this is not unexpected wear and tear.

MK19 40mm grenade launcher. So much destruction from such a small package that you can watch fly through the air like a football.

MCT would probably have been fun if it wasn't so damn cold. I don't currently have a firearm (space and Commiefornia), but there's lots that I'd like to have with the M1 Garand at the top followed by an AR15.
