Indeed. If only it was possible to build an open-source framework for accepting credit and debit card payments by ourselves. But then again, that might require connecting to the Mastercard, Visa, and American Express APIs, which would be dealing with a whole another end of being at risk of being deplatformed by....

It would be almost impossible there is no way the big card companies would allow it they make far far too much money off keeping the system closed.
