The payment came from a company called Quality Guest Posts they are also affiliated with redditsecrets.com. They both still have an active website. I wasn't personally contacted. I was speaking more in speculation how it usually could work. In my instance there was word of mouth that people were buying accounts. At that point I was completely fed up with Reddit, so I figured why not get some cash out of the account. So I contacted them and said I was interested. I don't want to mention the user name. I posted more personal information there, and while not likely to dox it is more than I'm comfortable linking to here. A little info on the account. It is 10 years old. The account was actually not used for quite some time. Then after about a year I noticed activity. Seemingly random stuff, sports talk and w/e. Then it started getting political, anti-trump. I never noticed it trying to sell products.
