So we are considering adding a feature that would create a new tag for shit posts. Like the NSFW tag you would have to enable it in your profile to see things tagged as shitposts. Now how things get tagged as shitposts is what I really wanted ideas on. Let us know what you think and if you think this is a good idea or not.

If people tag their own shitposts then I think thats fine, then they will be taken as a joke and not seriouslly like they are meant for. The people who do it to be obnoxious won't tag though and I do think the poster should be the only ones to tag their posts or maybe the mods?
or maybe not hide it just label it?

This. I think it should only be implemented for people to self tag. If someone else is deciding what is / isn't a shitpost, then we are getting into a dangerous area.

Um I don't care for change and don't see the point but I don't think it is a bad thing. Most people don't shitpost here and the sbbh cancer is lurking and not active.

On a small community it's not important, but Poal is growing everyday and it might come in handy in the future.

Sub owners could be given a way to tag their sub as a shitposting-sub.

I feel like tagging my own shitposts as such would be like signing jokey comments /s. If you guys can't tell when I'm shitposting I don't care. Prioritize >meme arrows above this.

That is something that we would want to define. And who should decide what is.

I've seen posts labeled shitposts that were nonsense to enlightening. And everything else in between. It's a hard thing to label.

that is kind of my big dilemma. How should it be labeled, and who should do it. There have been suggestions thrown around but I'm not sure what the right move is. Or if a move is right at all.
