On Minds if you want to actually be seen by anyone, you have to use their "tokens" to boost your posts.
While you can get the tokens for free just by being a member, there's also the option to buy their tokens.
So it seems to me that they're keeping their engagement levels artificially low in order to make more money from their users.

Just as an example, two weeks ago I found a meme here on Poal. It was pretty fucking funny.
I carried it over to Minds, and payed three tokens to ensure that it would be seen by 3000 people.
The result was 79 "likes" 26 "reposts", and one comment.
I doubt 3000 views actually reaches 3000 people. I see a lot of boosted content repeatedly on Minds.
