I'm traveling through utah and ran out of eggs so i went to pick up an 18 pack at walmart. they were just shy of $5.50. that's the most i've ever spent for eggs even when i was in canada they weren't that much. now what happened to make eggs ridiculously overpriced? please tell me it's not still "muh suplie chayn" bs..

All of a sudden? Where you been dude? They have been climbing steady for months now.

I mean sure they have but this was a gigantic spike I paid around $3 the last time I got 18 in the greater SLC area. I guess I'll have to start cutting down on my morning eggs until things get a grip.

Gonna be awhile. I'd get some chickens if I were you.

Imagine that, chickens in my camper. I'm sure that would go over well. Well I guess it wouldn't be any worse than how I live already so.

He's sliding.

Oblivious like half the rest of the population.

No. He's not oblivious, he's sliding. And most of the population isn't oblivious to prices. Most are just scared of making a ruckus due to the (((FBI))).

I pay about $3 from a local farmer. He was a bit more expensive for a while, which I didn't mind because I've seen the hens and how they're treated and the eggs are as yellow as gold. He still charges $3 and I'm not sure how he's doing it, the cost of feed has gone up.

They are 3.99€ for 30 eggs at my supermarket. Those are the cheapest tho. I've paid double that at the farmers market. I think € and $ are close enough to be comparable. Aren't they?

Yes the US dollar was finally worth more than the euro a week ago. And I was like ooh ooh time to go to Europe. But then I realized Europe is also three times more expensive then the US so that parity wouldn't make a darn bit of difference.

Gas, diesel, electricity, heating fuel, natural gas, wood pellets and other energy fuels have gone up in price dramatically.

Food is also on the rise but not nearly as much as the energies. Gas stations begin to have less and less fuel trucks coming to fill them.

I would say it's not the best time to visit Europe or any far away destination. Cosy up your place and prepare for the worst, even if the worst don't come like you thought it would come.

I live in a camper van so eventually I won't be able to afford gas I'm sure at some point and I'll just have to just sit where I am. Maybe I'll work on strengthening up my back and get familiar with the pickaxe and shovel so I can work on a shovel team somewhere. Better than being a comfort person I reckon. Auntieclutch might have something to say about this though.
