Incredible landscape painter. That first painting took him less than a half hour to paint (m.youtube.com) and digress while doing it.

I wish he knew it would someday sell for $10M!

I didn't know that. He was definitely amazing to pull that off so quickly.

He used some of the same brushes I use to paint my house! Lol!

Dude could paint with a mop and broom and still run rings around me while producing a real life work of art.

Yep, he was extremely talented and with such a peaceful calm presence. I read somewhere when talking about his demeanor - his years as a NCO in the Navy or something and having to always yell and shout at the other enlisted really bothered and got to him to where he became quite depressed and was a big part of why he says he left service, and he would joke later that he had done enough yelling for a life time and was why he always sounded so calm and collected.

Iirc, each episode he would paint three or four 'exact' copies. A pre-show print to flesh out the design/ image - colors etc with an eye on time to complete (for the tv recording). Then the picture painted during the show and after filming a final 'all in' painting where he was able to take his time without the tv show time restriction. He would then basically donate and give away all the pictures to workers on the show, friends and charity groups.

Wonder which print is being sold ?/

My guess is it's the 'all in' picture, bc when watching the ytube link - the brush strokes on his signature produce two slightly different looking 'S' than what appears on the image for sale.
