Thank's for the additional Intel on this fossil. No matter where it was originally found, the fossil is remarkably well preserved, and would make a great conversation piece for my house :)

Looks like the robots from The Matrix

Looks like something out of a Japanese squid porn. Squids with tits.

Came to say it. this is amazing.

That's the first thing I thought of also when I saw it.

That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die. -H.P. Lovecraft

Looked Lovecraftian to me too. The 5 pointed star creatures from Mountains of Madness.

The 5 pointed star creatures from Mountains of Madness.

The Old Ones(pic8.co)

The ones in the above fossil would be babies. From the Lovecraft story we know these creatures are capable of practally infinite hybernation.

Someone should write a short story about these little monsters waking up.

Someone should write a short story about these little monsters waking up.

Give me something more to go on than just a picture and location. I'll research the location a little.

What are these creatures? What are they capable of when awake? Is this some larval form of something bigger, later in life cycle? Or should I leave that to the reader's imagination?

A lot of Lovecraft's monsters operate or exert influence on humans through dreams. These little fuckers... sure look like they could latch onto a skull, don't they?

"I awoke with a start, cold sweat drenching my body and bedsheets. I buried my face in my hands, trying to reason with myself- that could not have been real. I stand and move to light a taper in the early morning gloom, and as I slick my long hair back from my wear eyes, a sensation of some slimy, oily residue came away upon my hand."

But the chinks were the first to put them in a soup...

[–] [deleted] 2 pts 3y

I've seen enough hentai to know where this is heading...

[–] 2 pts 3y

Pfffft, FAAAAAAKE, that thing isn't any older than 235... 238 million tops!

[–] 2 pts 3y

Our religious loving tards will say it is 6,000 years max, and this was put here as a test of faith.

[–] [deleted] 0 pt 3y

Dude, that thing is barely a day older than 230 million years old. You need to go back to archeology school.

LISTEN **HERE YOU COCK SUCKING FAGGOT...**

[–] 2 pts 3y

That's the most alien thing I've seen in a long while. The second most recent was that alien looking deep sea squid that the oil rig divers saw.

[–] [deleted] 1 pt 3y

Yeah, that deep sea squid was really freaking strange. We know more about the surface of the moon than we do about the deep parts of the ocean. No telling what's down there that we've never seen yet.

[–] 1 pt 3y

Very interesting and cool. All hail Squidward
