I have appreciated this ever since I came home from a week-long school camping trip: Hot showers.

Feeling the hot water soothe aching muscles, and have that temperature get right into the bones. Before doing the shampoo and soap routine, I like to stand there for a few minutes. Then after I'm all clean, standing there for a good 10 minutes.

I love showers so much and am grateful for every shower that I have, at least 2 per day.

I forgot to respond to you. Sorry 'bout that.

So my well is a 6 inch pipe that goes down 180 feet into the ground.

I'm guessing that the water pocket is relatively small compared to my neighbors because I have to pump the water up to my pump house and store it in a 500 gallon tank.

This way I can have water on hand for showers, washing laundry, etc. The well doesn't produce enough water to draw straight to the house. My neighbors on the other hand have more water than they can use. Their well produces 12 gallons per minute non stop for hours at a time. I have mine restricted to about 6 GPM and will still run it dry in 20 or 30 minutes.

The plus side is that my little bit of water, unfiltered, is the best drinking water I've ever had. My neighbors is trash. It's truly gross even after going through their 3 stage filtration system.

An easy way to think about it is if you know how am air compressor works. You need lots of air to run a spray gun or air hammer. You pump the air into a tank that supplies the tool and the tank refills during the off use period.
