It really depends on where you live in the time zone. If you live in the most Eastern part, your sun rises and sets sooner than the most Western part, even though it is the same time on the clock. The further North you go, the bigger the difference is going to be in the number of daylight hours in the summer vs. the winter.

I wouldn't want to live there but I prefer the Pacific Time Zone. Sports start three hours earlier than East Coast and (normally) end at a decent bed time. A few years back, we were with our daughter in AZ (when they were three hours behind us) and I was able to watch the NCAA first weekend from 9a.m. to 9p.m. IMO, Awesome !

Back when I cared about sports the late starts for world series did make it hard to watch and be alert at work the next day. Don't have to worry about that now.
