That's a interesting idea and supply chain / supply chain attack nightmare.

Force companies to use chips made only in their country. I get the idea and I would want to avoid that stuff in the US entirely if possible. You know it will (and already has) snuck in though.

They would still raise the price for all models to compensate for the expensive chips bought from Micron, Hynix, Samsung...
