Problem is "it looks real" because you already were told that is real. Not that you know what 'real' actually is. I really don't care either way. I don't think they are as they've only been used once (twice) for meaning. Every other use is what you posted. That just looks like a bomb to me. If I saw that and didn't know / wasn't informed I wouldn't say it was a nuclear explosion.
People say the same thing about the space program. Fake and gay. I've seen dozens of launches and felt the house shake with twin sonic booms when the shuttles used to land. I've seen quite a few shuttle night launches. (They were fucking Biblical.) I saw Challenger explode a minute after take off. So pardon me if I doubt the doubters.
Where are they flying to?
The shuttle program? Low earth orbit. Satellite placement. ISS resupply. ...and that weird one with the space tether that broke.
Pretty simple explanation. Rockets are a thing. Space travel isn’t.
