How old is a 'child'? Under 18?

For all intents and purposes, anyone classified as a minor would be included in "children". So per the US definition of a minor, anyone under 18 years of age.

I don't generally find it necessary to discuss or post about, but I'll stick to the age of consent / age of majority where I live, which is 18.

Due to this being a matter of legal import I would assume yes that is the definition that matters to AOU. The medical definition of "child" is one that is used to do what AOU is preventing with this clarification.
