7.5 years in the Marines in the 70s. Same shit, except I was in electronics and computers. We had 1 black guy in our small field. Failed all the courses, but 'graduated'. Got promoted at the first opportunity to make the statistics look good. He was lazy and incompetent. We all had to keep an eye on him and not let him touch any equipment unless he was closely supervised.

I grew up in a small farming town, and I don't remember any of my school mates or neighbors being fat. I think TV and processed foods and now the internet and video games are a big blame. While I was growing up we stayed outside and played a sport until it was too dark to see, then went home for dinner. Now most youngster sit in a classroom all day, then go home and play video games most of the night. Makes me sad to see pre-teens and teens so fat and not enjoying physical activities. My dad used to tell me "if all you do is sit around, after awhile that's all you can do".

I used this name on voat, a couple of years ago a ladder collapsed under me when I was on the roof and I fractured my hip. Got 3 bolts in it now, it's not 100% but I can walk without a limp, now.

It's mostly the addition of sugar to everything. Sugar is highly addictive, causes you to overeat and be unable to properly regulate hunger, and you constantly crave more and more of it.

It's also super high in calories.

Before they changed the "food pyramid" to the shitty "6-12 SERVINGS of fucking BREAD, goy", the average American ate more fats and protein, fewer carbs and sugar etc.

This directly contributes to how fat people are. It's hard to find shit that doesn't have tons of sugar added to it, and people eat WAY too much bread (which converts to sugar anyway).

Never once even heard a black male volunteer for or participate in the BUDS/SEAL training. Always big white dudes. I almost did it, but only because I'm a first class swimmer qual. On my ship, if you wanted to find the black folks, you just went back to the berthing, they somehow always got that light cleaning duty while we were scaling the stacks and hanging over the side. Ironic isnt it? How far they would go to avoid hard work, so much that they happily become dutiful housewives. Losers the lot of em, or as we say onboard, 'shitbags'

Dude we laughed, when we would walk into the pool area, the NQS boys were right there by the entrance, literally in a hole at the foot of the entrance, in floaties. We always laughed, even the black guys who could swim laughed (we had ONE) our RDCs made fun of them relentlessly too.

"Fuck race, if you cant fucking swim, you're not capable and I dont fucking want incapable sailors! Furthermore, my kids can swim, so you're a little bitch."

It was near the beginning of the Post9 wars, everyone was still meanies, I miss it more than I thought I would. They said that would happen.

Back when they used to tell us: "You think this a game? They want to kill you! They want to kill your families!" and before we started letting them run our public offices.

I remember the niggers in my boot camp platoon. 1 you knew he wanted to be there (he played high school football and was built), another was just the nastiest fucking nigger possible (didn't shower, didn't have any of his clothes washed and everybody knew he stole), the third and final one that I remember was so fucking stupid he had to have been an ASVAB waiver. He'd been on the Island for several months because he couldn't pass the tests. He started in 2nd Battalion and was dropped to 3rd, then 1st and back to 2nd. He looked like the typical nigger character from cartoons in the 40s and 50s. Mouth breathing, lights on but no one at the wheel. From those 3 months onward, all niggers are one of those 3 types.

Not my experience with shipmates. Ten years in USN aboard ship and not a shrinking violet (the gutter no stranger), AA sailors were as dedicated and disciplined as any other. Comrades in arms we was.
