The Pleroma network is a lot smaller, people-wise, than twitter, so if you're expecting a lot of unique eyeballs you may find that isn't the case. I generally have found there's a set of posters you'll always interact with and a few new ones every now and then. The federated nature sometimes works against the system, it can be hard to find voices of interest because your site may not have the reach that allows you to find those voices.
